Welcome to 40four.co.uk                                                                                                                                                                              44th Aberdeen Boys' Brigade Company

The 44th Aberdeen Boys' Brigade Company was formally enroled at Mannofield Church on 5th December 1907.

The founder and first Captain was Rev. W. Phil Gillieson.

We celebrated our Centenary in 2007. The Company is still based at Mannofield Church in the west end of Aberdeen, which is in the North East of Scotland. As with most BB Companies we have 4 section - Anchor Boys, Junior Section, Company Section & Senior Section. (Although our Seniors and Company Section meet as one).

We are a young minded, progressive & active Company, taking part in many of the Battalion competitions (with some recent successes)  and we are always trying out new idea, games and activities. Although we are a traditional Company there is a modern streak with and although activities such as drill have been dropped, Bible class, horse & bars are still done.

We have a good and happy relationship with our Church, our Chaplain and the Kirk Session. The Company parades formally to the church twice a year on Armistice Sunday and for a youth dedication service. Two of our Company Section Officers are elders and also members of the Church's Young People & Families Committee so we are fully involved in Church life.
